Part time NPA Teaching Assistant

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic person to join our team of Teaching Assistants and to support a named child with an Educational Health Care Plan. The position will be on a named pupil contract and will end when the pupil leaves the school, for whatever reason.   

The successful candidate will be:

  • Flexible and patient with high expectations for every child to achieve.
  • Able to encourage positive behaviour and is fair and consistent
  • Lively, self-motivated and prepared to play a full role as a member of a strong committed team.
  • Able to use their initiative as well as take direction.
  • Enthusiastic, positive and forward looking with a sense of humour.

Previous experience of working with children with SEND, implementing a range of effective strategies would be an advantage.

Our school serves the local village and nearby military base. Teamwork is highly valued as is the ability to quickly establish good relationships with the children.    

Our happy and successful school has a positive ethos and provides support for new members of staff. We are in a lovely part of N.W. Wiltshire, close to junction 17 on the M4.

Hours of work: Part time 21.25 hours per week (8.45 – 13.00 Monday to Friday) term time only
