I'm Mr South- Hawk Owls class teacher.
Below is a planning overview for the next academic year, including the different topics we will be studying. You can also find more in-depth overviews of the current term's Maths and English, along with spellings for Years 4 and 5.
Spring Term 1
This term we're exploring the world of Sherlock Holmes through our work on crimes & mysteries in English, and Victorian England in other subjects.
Autumn Term 2
Our focus for this term was electronics. We soldered our own metal detectors, made circuits in science and enjoyed The Iron Man by Ted Hughes.
Autumn Term 1
In this term we learned about the late Neolthic. Our learning focused on the many different monuments built by our Stone Age ancestors- many of which are very local!
