PE and Sport Funding

IMG_4060[1]

The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games inspired the nation and generated a passion for sports.  The government, wanting to secure a lasting legacy of the games,  introduced a funding programme for schools, initially for two years from September 2013.  This has now been extended to 2020.  This funding is specifically targeted to improve the quality of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools.
Further details can be found on the DfE Website

Our principles in use of the funding

Here at Hullavington CE Primary, we recognise the contribution of PE to the health and well-being of the children. Indeed, we were delighted to have been awarded the PE Quality Mark with Distinction in March 2015.  We believe that an innovative, varied PE curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities have a positive influence on the concentration, attitude and academic achievement of all our children.

Our Primary School Sport’s Funding will enable us to continue and extend our provision.

Our allocation this year is £17,250.  We also rolled forward the balance from 20-21 making a total spend this year of £34,941.  Now the academic year has come to an end, please see our review below of our use of the funding.  Paper copies of the report are available from the school office..
